S3/1 Explore Abernethy Ranger The Bacharn Trail. In the historic parish of Abernethy, we’ll wander from Revack Gardens tearoom to Nethy Bridge village, along hilly paths and tracks through pine and birch forest and across open moorland, finishing at Explore Abernethy visitor centre. Good opportunities to see Pine forest wildlife and excellent views. Free visit to  Explore Abernethy visitor centre included. Meeting at Revack Gardens tearoom at 10am. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel at 9.30am.  Nethybridge  14km/9m     4-5 hours. Moderate Stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing, packed lunch required.  Some moderate gradients. A linear walk. S3/2 Highland Council Countryside Ranger: Duncan Macdonald Allt Mhoraich: A short, steep stretch up to a fine viewpoint above the upper Spey Valley and out over the Monadhliath. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore 10am return transport from minor road East of Catlodge. 4 hours; 4km/2½ miles Moderate/Strenuous Stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing, packed lunch required. Cost £10
S3/3 AWF Leader Cairngorm Circular. From Ski carpark out to Lurcher's Crag with it's commanding views into the Lairig Ghru pass, on to Cairn Lochan and along the rim to the summit of Cairngorm. Cairngorm Ranger Base, car park at the top of ski road at 10am. OS Grid NH990 060. Car share or Service Bus. Check in to Cairngorm Hotel on your way. As start 9.5km/6m miles Ascent 900m 4/5 hours Moderate to strenuous Full mountain walking gear, packed lunch. Maximum 16 walkers. Cost £15
S3/4 AWF Leader Meall a' Buachaille to Craigowrie ridge walk  Great views of the valleys and mountains. Glenmore Lodge OS Grid Ref NH 979 097 at 10.30am. Transport available from Cairngorm Hotel at 10.15am  Badaguish road end OS Grid Ref NH 051 104 14km/9m   5hours 738 metres of ascent Strenuous  Boots, Mountain walking gear, packed lunch required. Cost £15 per head. A linear walk.
S3/5 AWF Leader Steam and Stroll - Boat of Garten to Aviemore.  Board the magnificent steam train from Aviemore to Boat of Garten and stroll back along the scenic Speyside Way across heather moor and through beautiful birch woodland, observing the spring flora and fauna along the way. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore at 10am Train 1030am Aviemore 5 Miles    2/3 hours Easy Bring refreshments (optional) and suitable outdoor clothing. Cost £10
