M/1 Military Leader Steve Salem Mini Expedition - Day1 Linn of Dee Car Park to Campsite either Hutchison Memorial Hut or Loch Etchachan (weather dependant), via Beinn Bhreac and Beinn Chaorainn. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel at 9.30am   Camp 17.5km, Time 7.5hrs, Total Ascent 1131m Strenuous Meet at 0900 for Kit check and at least half hour to get last bits in from shops if required. Bring Tent, Toilet Paper, Roll Mat, Food for 2 Days, Sleeping Bag, Matches, Stove and Fuel, Water, Pan and Spoon, Flask, Waterproofs, Hat, Spare Clothing, socks, Plastic Bag for Rubbish, Torch If you know someone on the exped, you can share the load by buddying up. M/2 AWF Leader Geal Charn (Monadliath munro) 926 metres high with it's eastern corrie and high lochan at the head of Piper's Burn. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel at 9am and travel to walk start. Car share plus limited number of seats with leaders transport As start 12km/8m  6/7hours Ascent 626m Strenuous Full mountain walking gear, packed lunch. Cost £15
M/3 Cairngorm Ranger Service Rangers’ GPS training day enabling you to improve your skills with your own or one of our GPSs. Some theory, but mostly practical exercises on the hill. Cairngorm Ranger Base, car park at the top of ski road at 10am. OS Grid NH990 060. Car share or Service Bus. Check in to Cairngorm Hotel on your way. As start 6 Hours Moderate GPS provided but bring your own if you wish. Stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing and a packed lunch. Max 10 Min 4 £10 per head
M/4 Glenmore Lodge National Outdoor Centre Navigation and Mountain Skills Hazards, emergency procedures, kit & safety gear, weather route planning. A mix of theory and practice , indoors and outdoors. Meet Glenmore Lodge at 9am OS Grid NH987 094. Car share End approx 4pm at Glenmore Lodge. N/A Easy Take a packed Lunch and hill walking gear. M/5 Duncan Macdonald Highland Council Ranger Tromie Tramp  This spectacular walk takes us along ancient routes high above Ruthven Barracks and down into the stunning woodland of Glen Tromie.  We complete the walk taking in the RSPB reserve of Insh Marshes.  Some large stiles to cross. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel, Aviemore 10am Return transport from Ruthven Barracks. 5 hours, 8km/5 miles Moderate/strenuous:  Stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing, packed lunch required. M/6 Member of Newtonmore Woodland Trust  The Wildcat Trail  10k orbital path round Newtonmore passing over moorland, through woodland and along the banks of three rivers. Magnificent views. Wildcat Centre, Main Street, Newtonmore 10.30am. Transport from Cairngorm Hotel at 10am. Car share. As start 10km/6m        3-4 hours Moderate Stout  footwear advisable. Bring packed lunch and something to drink. Donations to upkeep of Trail appreciated. Cost £5
M/7 AWF Leader Glen Einich A walk that takes you into the heart of the mountains without climbing any of them. The destination is Loch Einich situated in the corrie at the head of the glen. The route involves fording some burns. Meet at Cairngorm Hotel at 10am and travel to walk. Car share plus limited number of seats with leaders transport Whitewell 6 hours 21km/13 miles Ascent 107m Moderate Stout footwear, suitable outdoor clothing, packed lunch required. Cost £10
